BDP Secretary General Mpho Balopi has condemned insinuations that President Masisi is appointing people from the southern part, saying it is dangerous for the country as it promotes regionalism and tribalism. “As the BDP we strongly condemn that we cannot allow people to play the regional and tribal card because people are appointed on their abilities and capabilities and for some to think that it is based on the geographical area they come from is very unfortunate,” he said. Making his point, Balopi said that the issue must be nabbed before it can tarnish the country as Batswana are interrelated.
