
Fireworks are expected when councillors from Kweneng convene at the Molepolole headquarters for a full council session which gets underway tomorrow morning (Monday 27th August 2018). Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) councillor for Borakalalo ward in Molepolole, Arafat Khan, has promised to leave no stone unturned in an effort to expose maladministration and abuse of public funds by Kweneng District Council (KwDC). Khan, who recently sparked controversy as the founder and leader of the Fear Fokol brigade, that has vowed to defend UDC president Duma Boko at all cost, says a lot of poor decisions have been made in KwDC which cost the tax payer millions of pula. He said residents of Kweneng and the general public deserve to know how public funds are being wasted by KwDC while they wallow in poverty. Two weeks ago Khan submitted questions and motions to the KwDC demanding an explanation about the recently concluded court case which the municipality lost to Estate Construction. He has requested KwDC to update councillors about developments surrounding the construction of Molepolole bus terminal situated in Borakalalo ward.
