
The political environment was this week heavily pregnant with allegations that the MP for Goodhope/Mabule Kgosi Lotlaamoreng II was to defect to the ruling party Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) this weekend. Like a cheated lover, some members of Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) took to the social media to attack the Paramount Chief of Barolong, accusing him of being ungrateful and failed politician. In the status that was later pulled down, the commentator said that Lotlaamoreng since voted into Parliament in one of the most expensive by-elections has failed to contribute significantly to the policies of the government nor articulated those of UDC.
