
The neglected Curriculum Development and Evaluation property belonging to the Ministry of Basic Education (MoBE) is haunting government as the ministry is losing millions of Pula’s in rentals paid to private property occupied at Fairgrounds, The Patriot on Sunday can reveal. Impeccable sources within the ministry told this publication that the building has been neglected for seven years now after the contractor awarded the tender pocketed millions of pula and disappeared. According to sources the original tender amount for the refurbishment of Curriculum Building was P 5 932 710.92 million but was later revised to P 6. 648 million. MoBE Chief Public Relations Officer Oarabile Phefo said a local contractor who was involved for the refurbishment of the building was awarded a contract worth P6 648, 844 million, but failed to complete the project.
