
Botswana’s mobile service provider Mascom Wireless launched its online platform called ‘Tsena Botswana Online’ on Thursday in Gaborone. The platform will bring together Batswana and the rest of the world. Speaking at the launch, Tsena Botswana project manager Thato Moruti said this is a platform that brings all information to one place for Batswana and the rest of the world. “This is the first of its kind platform which is meant to take Botswana to the rest of the world as well as Batswana at all corners of the country. It is our responsibility that we take Botswana to the rest of the world as well as enabling Batswana to know more about was is happening around them,” said Moruti. He said Tsena is aimed at increasing interaction, information sharing and to encourage the use of ICT in Botswana. When introducing the portal Mascom’s Chief Communication and Public Relations Officer Tebogo LebotseSebego said the idea came up with Mascom Chief executive Officer Jose Vieira Couceira as it has been successful at his home country.
