BOFEPUSU’s update on salary negotiations The trade unions conglomerate – BOFEPUSU – has released a statement to update its members about the status of the salary negotiations with Government. Secretary General Tobokani Rari says: “As reported in our last update to yourselves, BOFEPUSU (BTU, BOSETU, Manual Workers & BLLAWHU) was subjected to a verification process as per the requirements of the Public Service Bargaining Council (PSBC) following the termination of BOPEU from the BOFEPUSU “acting jointly arrangement”. “The results of the verification process were presented to the PSBC on Thursday 4th February 2016 and they indicated unequivocally that BOFEPUSU (BTU, BOSETU, Manual Workers Unions & BLLAWHU) meets the requisite threshold to continue being admitted to the PSBC and as such to proceed with the 2016/17 wage negotiations. “Following that, we were on Friday 5th February 2016, served with court papers by BOPEU that indicated that they, BOPEU, have approached the court seeking that; The results of the verification process that confirmed the threshold of BOFEPUSU and its continued admittance to the PSBC be set aside and that The 2016/17 Salaries and Conditions of service negotiations should not proceed until the matter that they have brought before court is concluded. “Consequent…
