Investigations against the Director General of Directorate of Intelligence and Security Services (DISS) Isaac Kgosi have been completed and his docket has now been handed over to the Directorate on Public Prosecutions (DPP). Appearing before the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on Friday, the Director General of the Directorate on Corruption and Economic Crime (DCEC), Rose Seretse said the matter now lies with DPP. Seretse could not share what they have discovered during their investigations as the case is confidential and denied that there was some political interference during investigations of cases which involve high profile subjects. This was contrary to a savinggram she wrote to Kgosi in 2012 when she raised a concern that DISS agents were threatening DCEC assistant Director, Eugene Wasetso. Wasetso was one of the agents who were investigating Kgosi. “I am advised that on Thursday 8th March 2012 you threatened this Directorate’s Senior Assistant Director Mr Wasetso and that known DISS officers have been observed conducting surveillance of DCEC headquarters. I am also advised by my staff that DISS officers have been seen shrivelling DCEC staff performing duties away from DCEC headquarters in the course of this investigation,” reads the letter from Seretse to Kgosi adding…
