
The Botswana Examination Council released the Botswana General Certificate for Secondary Education (BGCSE) 2015 results on Monday and St Joseph’s college has yet again snatched the first position while Matsha Senior Secondary School came last. St Joseph‘s College sits at the top with 51.29 % followed by Mater Spei college at 35.22 % and Naledi Senior Secondary School at 33.80 %. Matsha Senior Secondary School, on the other hand, sits at the bottom with a paltry 10.20 %, Shakawe Senior Secondary School though having attained only 13.79 % has finally managed to score more than 10 percent pass rate for the first time since its first BGCSE results in 2013. “It must be noted that the poor performance posted by Matsha Senior Secondary School does not have anything to do with the tragic accident some of the students were involved in last year, as they sat for the examinations prior to it,” said BEC Executive Secretary Professor Brian Mokopakgosi.
