President Ian Khama has unveiled new facilities at Ba Isago University which include a state of the art Convention Centre, Mabaleng Sporting Complex and a Pavilion. Khama applauded Ba Isago University for its growth and achievements so far. He toured the facilities and declared how impressed he was since students – will while studying hard – have facilities that are refreshing. He clarified that he is not retiring but rather stepping down as president and will now continue to serve the country and the nation in many other aspects. Ba Isago University Board chairperson Ruth Gabasiane said they are happy about their grand master plan completion because theirs are modern architectural designs befitting of a 21st century institution of higher learning which they trust will stand the test of time. The combined costs of the developments, including landscaping, stand at P64 million, financed by Botswana Development Corporation (BDC) and shareholders. “After looking for funds from in and outside the country we are happy that eventually BDC sponsored us for the completion of this development including shareholders.
