
He is one of the quietest Members of Parliament and hardly contributes anything in the house except when answering questions from MPs as he is the Assistant Minister of Land Management, Water and Sanitation Services but on Thursday Itumeleng Moipisi rose to the occasion. Debating the State of the Nation Address, Moipisi who is the Member of Parliament for Kgalagadi North caught the opposition napping on the Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) issue. When responding to SONA Leader of Opposition Duma Boko said that Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) is against the introduction of EVM in its entirety, which according to Moipisi is in contradictory to what the opposition has been saying in the past. Armed with previous Hansards in which the Electoral Amendment Bill was debated, Moipisi said that the opposition is confused and don’t know their stance regarding the EVM.
