Delegates from the troubled ruling South Africa’s African National Congress (ANC) are expected to visit Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) leadership tomorrow. According to information within the BDP, the ANC delegation will be led by its Secretary General Gwede Mantashe and will have a private meeting with President Ian Khama, Vice President Mokgweetsi Masisi and Secretary General Botsalo Ntuane. Though it is not clear what the agenda is, inside sources within the BDP have revealed that it has to do with the current political turmoil within the ANC. “As political alliances and ruling parties, when one is having some leadership challenges they consult each other,” said the source. Mantashe and his team are expected to be hosted for lunch by Masisi before flying back to South Africa.
