The Botswana Accountancy College (BAC) has donated toiletries and stationery to students from Dutlwe – a small settlement in the Kweneng District comprising mostly of Basarwa and Bakgalagadi who are underprivileged. The students were rewarded for passing their PSLE with an impressive 100% pass rate. Among others the donations included school bags, stationery, toiletry and sanitary ware. BAC’s Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications Mpho Mokgosi said they extended the gesture because as a seasoned business school they understand that education is an important element of a child’s life and development. According to Mogotsi, the decision to be part of the initiative stemmed from the fact that educating and empowering future leaders is pivotal in determining their success and role play in their communities, the country and beyond. “We have realised that there is a melting pot of future leaders that will emancipate the Dutlwe community from hardships and propel it towards possibilities and a bright future,” she said.
