BDP suspends two NWDC councillors 
The Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) has suspended two North West District Council (NWDC) councillors on grounds that they defied party caucus resolutions. The two councillors Duncan Enga, the newly NWDC chairman and Vepaune Moreti, the deputy chair of Maun administrative Authority (MAA) were suspended last week. The BDP North West regional chairman Eagilwe Modisaemang confirmed to the suspensions, saying they will run for 60 days pending a disciplinary hearing. He said meanwhile the duo will not be allowed to take part in any party activities until the party completes their investigations on their matter. He also stressed that letters have been send to both councillors to their respective address. “In fact the two councillors will be called for disciplinary hearing and that is when their fate will be decided,” Modisaemang declared. During the NWDC council elections that were held on May 1, Enga and Moreti stood to oppose their own after losing party caucus elections that were held at Maun lodge. At the party caucus, Reaboka Mbulawa was voted by 16 while Enga got 13 votes to retain his seat as NWDC chairperson. Nico Folai had gotten nine votes against Moreti’s eight for the position of Vice Sub Council chairman…
